Pray

As Australian Baptists, we join in prayer for Myanmar.

One Burmese Pastor wrote, “According to UNHCR, more than 3.5 million people in Myanmar are now internally displaced. They need your voice, support and prayers. Please remember Myanmar in your prayers and worship services.”

Another shared, “We thank the Australian Baptists who are standing with us by sharing our responsibilities and burdens, raising voice and praying for the restoration of freedom and democracy in Myanmar.”

This is a humanitarian crisis. Pray for the basic needs of vulnerable people to be met. Pray for communities to have access to food, clean water, shelter, sanitation, healthcare and education. Pray for humanitarian aid to reach those who need it most.

Even in the midst of crisis, pray for Christian communities to be have opportunities to share the good news of Jesus through word and loving action. Pray for God to be at work through them.
